Hi! Im Rick, an industrial design student at UW-Stout. I'm looking for help compiling some scary stories about procrastination, and some input on the types of objects or methods people use to help curb it. THANKS!

Scary stories? I'm surprised
Scary stories? I'm surprised nobody posted yet. Though...maybe not. The scary stories for my life are something that I deleted as nonreversibly as possible, nowadays I'm only allowing myself to remember the good stories :).
I have used the Productivity Engineering and Mental Toughness hypnosis tapes, some other products were good too, and I'm doing some energy psychology techniques when needed. Used Motivaider, too, until my unit got broken :(.
procrastination scary story
During Uni 5 yrs ago, my procrastination steadily increased each year. I would end up doing the usual of tidying the house before I could start an essay as I felt that I needed a clear house before hand to clear my head. Stupid things such as defrosting the freezer suddenly seemed very important. This isn't usual behavioour for me, normally I only really do a major clean when I have visitors or the landlord is coming round. After that i would then need to play either several games of solitaire or pinball to get into the flow with each break I had. More time was spent playing these than actually writing an essay. In the end It was only the looming deadline that would encourage me to complete. I worked out that I could comfortably do 1000 words a day, and still get a reasonable mark between 50 -60%. When it came to my dissertation, we were given about a year to do the work it took me roughly three weeks. The final week of which I didn't sleep for the whole time and I almost suffered a psychosis as a result of lack of sleep and stress. So far not found any good coping mechanisms as I am currently writing this when I am meant to prepare for a presentation in 2 days. aaarghhh!
