So it seems I have missed the Fight Procrastination Day (September 7, 2005). After all, what would you expect from an author of website about procrastination.
Maybe I am wrong about that, but after short search, it seems to me, the Fight Procrastination Day is a creation of the Online Organizing web, created probably with other aims in mind, yet purposelessly spread by other organizations and websites into what almost seems to be a day to officially celebrate.
One thing I know for sure, there is nothing to celebrate. Productivity day, great, let me have one. Relaxation day, absolutely. Day of joy, happiness and no work? Oh, yes, please. But procrastination day? Come on. To celebrate I have missed it, I will update the procrastination remedies section today.
To sum up the sad facts, the odd celebrations shall be happening on first wednesday in September each year. Some apparently don't want to settle for just one day, so we have National Procrastination Week as well, on March 7-13, at least according to Newsgeneration.
The fight procrastination day culprits are Online Organizing as creators; Halfbakery, EdHelper and Daily Celebrations among others spreaded and upgraded this originally innocent idea into a holiday. It is also covered by some fellow bloggers: Thomasnet Industrial Newsroom, Bowietreks, Anna at Inkblots and cassie-b.
If you know more, please let us know, I am prepared to stand corrected.

Procrastination Day
So Procrastination Day 2005 was yesterday.
Phew! I'm so glad I didn't know that last week, or I'd never have got round to posting this comment today -- and I'd have felt really bad about that...
But then, it WAS "Procrastination Day", wasn't it? Not "Stop Procrastinating Day". So, along the lines of "Independence Day", "Constitution Day" and "The Day of Anti-Fascist Struggle" (22 June, Croatia, BTW), it was intended, clearly, to be a day for *celebrating* the phenomenon after which it was named. And, that being so, I can honestly say that yesterday I played a full and wholehearted part.
you are right about the "procrastination" day
What do I say... You Got to The Point.
Apparently I became a bit confused in the process of researching by some other sources that refer to it as fight procrastinaiton day, but you are correct indeed, it has nothing to do with the "fight".
As I found out days after posting that, the origins of this one trace back many years ago, to a certain procrastination society and it was certainly meant as a procrastination, not fight procrastination, day.
I might post a correction once I "get around to it" (haha) including link to whom I now believe is the originator of this procrastination day idea.
And btw., it wasn't yesterday. It was, so to speak, yesterday one month before :). But isn't that a part of the procrastination culture? I would certainly consider not approving your comment if you were on time with that :).
