so.. i am once again fed up with myself, and how badly i procrastinate. i've decided to get back into using my planner so that i can remember the thigns that i want to do. i am also trying to tackle the things that cause me to procrastinate in the first place.

one week down, and i think i'm doing pretty well. i've used my to-do list every day. i love adding a little check mark when i've completed something.
i read an article last week about procrastination where they said that one thing you can do is say that you "want to" do a task instead of "have to". apparently saying have to creates a feeling of dread that you may rebel against. i had a hard time convincing myself that i wanted to clean the litterbox. ugh. but when i really thought about it i realized that i wanted my cat to have a nice place to do her business and not be walking all over her own poo. so it made the job a little easier. i was also pleased to discover that it didn't take forever like i imagined it would. i was done in about 10 min. wow. that's another plus!

ok.. as we speak i am typing this as a distraction from work. so i need to stop procrasinating!!! Toungue
good thinking around have to/want to

well yeah....the 10 minutes....if you are dreading doing something, promise yourself to only dedicate 3 or 5 minutes to it, not more. more often than not 3-5 minutes are all it takes to finish many dreadful tasks
