So...the New Year is nearing...

We all know how that is with resolutions. Mostly, they are only done to be broken later.

How to make it so that the chance of your resolutions coming through increases substantially?

I might be sharing some tips, maybe later on, but here comes a rebellious idea.

Don't make the new year resolutions around New Year.

Make them one week later.

That gives you one full week to use to think them out right.
(It also brings brain back to the equation, as the resolutions are usually made in emotional peak period when contact with reality is insufficient and emotions prevail.)
So, did the extra week make a difference for you? Wink

I actually didn't make any resolutions this year.

But I have been thinking a lot about which way to move further, and NOT thinking about it right on the New Year, but 1-2 weeks earlier, and also at some later point (maybe it was that one week later, not sure...) worked rather well for me. For the most part, it took the stress and the over-excitement out, both being the factors that don't seem to have good influence on significant decision making.
