Hello,

My name is Chris and I am one of the developers of Allontheball.

Fundamentally I must admit that I am a lazy person but as I have quite a demanding job (I manage a service organization in an international software company), I was constantly becoming stressed out by all the various small tasks that needed to be done.

Over the years, I tried at least 15 to 20 different types of planner and organizer software and I concluded three things:

1. They were all pretty similiar.
2. They focus too much on categories and too little on the time aspect.
3. They were all too slow to use with too many fields and windows.

Anyway, one fine autumn in 2004, i sat down and took the first brave step of designing my own time management tool and I decided to call it Allontheball.

Fundamentally, it has a number of features that really sets it aside from any other time management software I know of.

1. First of all, Allontheball is very fast to use. If you for instance are on the phone or working with your emails, you can "throw" in a new task without even opening a single window.

2. Secondly, Allontheball is almost like a calendar for tasks. Each day is divided into four periods (morning, mid-day, afternoon and evening). So if I want to add a task "Follow up on that problem xyz", I can place it on for instance Friday Morning. That way it is not in my face until I need to see it.

3. Thirdly, Allontheball is very very forgiving and its written for the "real world". In the example in point 2 above, what if I don't manage to get around to doing that task on Friday morning? No worries, Allontheball will automatically move the task to Mid-day for you. In other words, you will NEVER loose a task.

4. Finally, Allontheball is a bit fun. Each time you perform a task you get points. It's not an important part of the tool but just a little thing to give you some feedback on how you are doing throughout the day.

Allontheball is based on Donations. You can try it out and if you like it you pay us as much as it is worth to you.

If you would like to take it for a test drive on:

Hi Chris, thanks for the announcement. I tried your program and it's a pretty interesting concept, I'm sure it will find it's audience.
